Norma
Imogene Leonard, 84, of Lake Isabella, CA. went to be with the Lord March 12,
2013. She was born in Cove, Arkansas on April 3, 1928 to parents George and
Clintie Siegler (deceased).
Her childhood
spanned the Great Depression and WWII and she lived a long, full and wonderful
life with her husband, Charles.
She was married
to Charles Henry Leonard (deceased) in Bell Gardens, CA and they moved to China
Lake, CA. Pasadena, CA and settled in Duarte, CA where they raised their three
children; George Allan (deceased), Deborah Jean Leonard-Lucas and David Dee
Leonard.
They relocated to Lake Isabella, CA. in 1979; Her beloved husband died in 1987.
After a long, terrible illness, Norma went to Bakersfield Rehabilitation
Hospital. She fought a long, good fight but God took her home.
Norma was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Kernville, Eastern Star and the
Golden Slipper and she wrote a quite a few articles for the Kern Valley Sun.
She is survived by her sister, Patricia Weaver, her daughter Deborah Leonard
Lucas, son David Leonard, her grandchildren Amanda Sue Leonard Brown, Lauren
Leonard and Jimmy Leonard and her great grandchildren, Kylee Jade and Henslee
Ava Case Brown.
Her Memorial was held graveside at the Kern Valley Cemetery, March 23, 2013,
Kernville, CA, where she was placed by her husband's heart where she is resting
eternally.
